I purposely bought the faceplate sticker because all the political correctness and butthurting surrounding the Confederate flag really pisses me off.

Especially the moron who owns General Lee #1 talking about painting over the flag on the roof.

 

Anyhow... to change the subject back to radios...

Now I'll have to route myself through Starkville, MS to pick up an MFJ-226.

 

Now after looking at their site, why wouldn't I want to get an auto-tuner like this? Would something like this work?

There's nothing wrong with that. I like to keep things simple and my antenna is tuned for a single frequency.

 

I'm sure the ham guys are reading this just giggling to themselves

That was exactly my first impression except I used the description of God's voice coming out of the clouds telling Moses to part the Red Sea in that famous movie

 

In the description, it says it can be used with any transceiver. I would take it that means you just hook the coax up and it works.
