I know a guy making 15k a week...o/o
He's got an ol beat up cabover, pulls a crude trailer in Newtown ND for foxrun, and for MBI..
Dont be afraid to go crazy!!! freight aint great!!
My LTL L/O's are making double company driver pay...theyre weekly take homes are between 2200 and 2700...Ones at Saia, ones at Central Trans, both happy, both home every night, either could go otr at anytime if desired..
Thats the magic there...Oilfield, or LTL, with fuel being 3rd choice..
4th, Id go Mining..(flatbed)
5th maybe aggregates or produce
I know of no L/P ers at the moment...I see western flatbed doods everywhere down here..Think about asking em if the ads are true or not...LOL
Ive been thru all the threads..couple of them a bunch of times...A real consensus? L/P bad, although 2 companies seem ok and have been recommended for that route, JCT and some other one...Last edited: May 14, 2016

Especially one that you are making your truck payment to.

15k net? 700k+ per year net?
2200 per week net and home every night running cross dock?
Anyone else find these numbers for net income high?TheFriscoKid and Jazzy J Thank this. -
When I ran for foxrun as a company driver I made 100+ grand a year just running around North Dakota. There are niche markets, you just have to find yours.
-
Was that gross or net?
I'm just curious about other drivers take on 15k net a week or 2200+ a week ltl...both sound extremely high.
No doubt about it, if I could net half of that 700k a year I'd driver North Dakota in a cab over or a conestoga wagon if that was what was required.TheFriscoKid Thanks this. -
The 15k/week net seems like an outrageous claim to me, perhaps he meant 15k/month?
$2200/week net for an O/O running LTL seems very reasonable to me, company drivers at top LTL outfits can easily gross close to that amount every week.Lepton1 and HalpinUout Thank this. -
Gross, sure; problem is the post implied net, and the op topic is "take home per week".
There is either a disconnect in the post we are questioning between gross and net or some lucky stiffs are making phat bank. I'd like details on these jobs paying 15k net per week...I'll send in an application right away.
Also, for those O/Os netting 2200+ per week is that to the truck or the driver after expenses?TheFriscoKid and Lepton1 Thank this.
