Really guys, if it were a greenhorn asking for some advise on a Company to teach him how to began in HH, by now probably got 100+ tips tryin to change his mind, I'm not askin anybody here to stick their neck for me, the companys i worked for will do it, just looking for some pointers here.

Don't like what you have been told in the other threads? If you have that experience then you know the major companies. But what works for someone may not work for you at all. What you are asking for will only happen at one company and that is the one that you own.
Now you can start here for companies all over the country.

got a buddy that went to Landstar Inway this time last year with a 4 axle truck and 4 axle stretch rgn and says he really likes it there. I believe they are based out of Jacksonville,FL. Good luck.

Everyones needs and expectations are different. In the last 40 some years with my own truck and trailer, all the good operations are pretty much gone,in my opinion.Did spend the last 15 years with Inway Heavy Haul/Landstar.Never any issues, they let me run my own ship.Decided to retire, just because I didn't like the way trucking was headed. They're as good as anyone out there in this mess now,as far as I'm concerned.
truckdad, W900AOwner and CAT-QBN Thank this. -
That's as honest an answer as you'll find anywhere, and the one I was looking for as much as the next guy. Thanks again DougA !!!DougA Thanks this. -
I have heard Mercer was o.k. I have heard Landstar was o.k. I have heard ATS (I think that is the name of the company Blue trucks, white logo) were pretty good. They have flat bed/step deck division and Heavy Haul Division. I think ATS wants you to work like you are a company driver though. You need to be out 8 weeks (2 months) with Heavy Haul in order to go home. (Really??? Not my cup of tea baby. )
Depends upon what you want and where you want to go with trucking. If you want to move up into heavy haul, I think you could take your lumps with ATS as far as being out, then move over to someone else. (8 weeks is a long time. I wonder how much can you make in that time frame and more importantly, how much home time do you get)CAT-QBN Thanks this. -
I got my on trailer and that's a big nono whith ATS, the place I'm looking is a small one, a mom and pop operation where they treated you like family, and also have the opportunity of moving up. In regards of the time out there, is really not a problem for me, we(my gf and i) do this wonderful trucking thing FULL TIME. Thanks a lot
