Hi guys,
I just got into a verbal altercation with a trucker that works for a food company (PORKY). This occurred in Brooklyn, New York and he blocked me from leaving from my parking spot. I was allowed to park where I parked and he double parked and I couldn't leave. I approached him and asked him nicely if he can back his truck up that I had to leave and he responded with "You gotta wait 5 minutes" (with an attitude). I told him excuse me? I'm legally parked and I should be free to exit as I please, you're not allowed to do this. He still refused to move, so I asked who his manager his. He then got on the defense and felt belittled (I guess) and wouldn't disclose any information. The company that he was delivering for was Key Food which I happened to be very good friends with the owners. I involved one of the owners son's who work there and had him as a witness. I also took pictures of the incident. The matter at hand is not the 5 minutes (which I wouldn't have minded if he told me nicely) but it's the fact that he was not allowed to block off parked cars if they are parked legally.
Anywho, I called the company which was located out in New Jersey and spoke with whoever picked up the phone (he assured me that he was the person whom I need to speak to to file a complaint). I explained to him what the situation was and then he told me he wanted to get the drivers side of the story and then apologized which I completely respected. However, I feel as if if they person on the phone I spoke to comes back to me and tells me that he has been docked, or suspended or whatnot, that he would just be saying that to get me to shut up. I will be requesting an apology from the driver (which is a long shot) in exchange to drop the matter. If no apology is given and I would like to proceed with the complaint, where do I go to file a complaint of such matter?
Thanks in advance guys!

To drop what matter? You were mildly inconvenienced for a matter of minutes. Are you planning to sue them?
Curb side deliveries are a part of life in NYC. Probably 95% of customer's facilities are inaccessible to today's highway trucks and force drivers to block roads to make deliveries.
Last I checked, the fine folks of NYC don't mind having food on the shelves, how do you suppose it arrived?WisconsinF150, Longarm, MACK E-6 and 6 others Thank this. -
Don't feel singled out lol...porkys in Carteret treats everyone like something they found under they're shoe .

So... Since the "five minute" delay is not the issue, you are wanting to complain to someone about his attitude?
You have contacted his company.
You have an in with his customer.
And you created an account here.
Surely there are more important things to focus your energies toward. And if dealing with attitudes is such an issue, maybe steer clear of NYC. -
To the OP.
Were you in a tractor/trailer or a personal vehicle??
Either way, you were in Brooklyn, they all move at their own pace.
Just how long were you inconvenienced?
You called the company, they apologized, so let it go. It's not liked you were blocked in for a week.
And if you feel you must continue, well you could go talk to the NYC mayor, cause he will be the only one who might care.
