well as you know 80000 is your gross weight, so when you get your truck and trailer go to a scale and weigh yourself.
Fhantom Thanks this. -
Ok thanks Patronas.

Should be doable. My 379 weighs 17k full of fuel. If you get a similar weight truck and your trailer is under 10k you should be good to go.

If you look at the Vin plate on the trailer it should tell you the maximum capacity. I haul tankers and my assigned trailer says max trailer payload 65,000 which I could only haul that much weight with a permit.

Thank You Bdog and str810 i appreciate your help.

If I haul 53,000 on my truck I'll be about 5000 over weight.

My truck is light at 17k full of fuel but my trailer is a heavy all steel 53' fontaine. Trailer weighs around 16k. I know they make some 53' aluminum trailers around 9k so it is quite possible his 43' weighs 10k or less.MrEd Thanks this.
