What values do owner operators want most in a company these lease on to?
Would owner operators be interested in company that gives them ultimate freedom to just use their numbers but they take care of all loads and their own success?
Your replies are much appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Sounds like a survey. Better off going to a truck stop with pens, papers, and clipboards

In the north east tolls paid by the company would be nice. GW is something like 95$

Well it sounds like you are just trying to compare companies that are already out there.
Why would an OO need a company to pay tolls? Well I guess if the OO was being paid by the mile...... -
I guess the owner of the company my dad was leased to was a rare breed then. They were union steel haulers out of the 282 and he paid all tolls. Back in the mid 90s it was 475ish to run 170 miles from binghamton ny to nyc plus a 250 load of rebar coming back to bing. Today a lot of people would be happy doing 34-3600 a week being home every night and most weekends off.
My dads riding out the oil patch to the end but he bought a used truck a few months ago and plans on going back with that same outfit next spring. Teamster gig is long gone but he doesn't move cheap freight. small outfit less than 20 trucks but he has a real good reputationLast edited: May 17, 2016

Tolls paid on the Florida Turnpikes would be nice!!!! Absolutely ridiculous how much it costs to go from central Florida to Miami and back if you love the convenience.

My point is that as an OO, if the rate is not enough to cover the tolls then it simply isn't enough to haul the freight. What's the difference if you get $800 plus $100 for tolls or get $900? At the end of the day you get the same amount. Better yet if you get $900 and decide to avoid the tolls because it only adds 30 minutes to your drive you just made an extra $100 (minus whatever in fuel). I don't need company paid tolls to dilute my numbers. I'm a big boy and can decide for myself if I'm making enough.double yellow, KeithT1967, BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this.
