I just ripped one of my 30' mud flap hanger spring with a 20 feet can. I saw some guy rolling with very low hangers and had a pair of very small mud flaps. Was looking on the net but no info. There is almost no clearance with these 20 feet cans the landing legs took one out as i was making a u-turn.

Edit: never mind i found the reason why i took them out... http://imgur.com/m7uFzGH it was set up for trailers so the 5th wheel is all the way in the front. Alittle insight i bought this truck from crete off of arrow so it was set up for otr. I feel dumb i didnt see this right away. i will spend my weekend with a breaker bar

I would be remounting my flap hangers forward and lower before i moved the fifth wheel. There is hangers available that have a 45 drop in the last 6 inches or so. Then just trim the flaps to match. Drilling 4 holes is a lot easier than r&r 24 bolts with hand tools and hoping the spacing is exactly the same.

Search "bar type mud flap bracket " with those all you do is pull the pin and remove the whole thing. Strap them to the catwalk and roll.

Thanks but those are horrendous looking. Kind of what the dealership gives you before you leave the show room with. Cost saving. I really dont care how much it cost to make a custom bracket if i have too. Wish i took up welding and Metal would come in handy right about now in fact i could think of a few times it will. Thanks for commenting
