I had a bike in my cab on my top bunk.
Conway let's you drop the trailer at nearly all freight yards. Go bobtail to where you want. Ta just register it at the desk. (Rat might call in on ya....hate rats)
$20 to rent a car for the day and a lot of times free rental days. Ubers a nice tool for concerts & ballgames.
Oh yeah you can definitely be a tourist. I've seen everything I wanted to see out there. Its my one regret not spending more time doing those things while otr. Open the left door and live your life.
That extra load to sit in a dock for unpaid hours isn't worth it. Go mingle with someone and learn somethin.

When I was otr I would try to plan my trip to reset somewhere I wanted to explore. My favorite was San Diego, S. Cali area. Uber is great.

I read somewhere the owners actually had people doing that. It became enough of a problem they had to install no trespassing signs and security cameras.
