My not mine went back to the dealer with regen issues. I know it was using oil because the driver had a case in the floor with one missing. Sorry did not keep up with mileage like you did.

    blr300 Thanks this.

Maybe see if he had a mileage from last fuel up....or next service ask him for a mileage to keep track. Might be worth it right. Good luck

With some companies we are not paid to thank. It took me a long time to accept that. If the truck and engine mfg's can not fix the problems of these new trucks why should I thank an old goat like me should be able to solve all the new world problems? Don't take that wrong I still look at work from the point of view that my job is to save or make the boss-company money. If they are doing well then hopefully they will stay in business and pass some down the line. I am very interested in your post and it's outcome which I could possibly use to help them. They told me there is no way one of these engines could require an inframe at this mileage. There are post in this forum about ISX liner and piston problems causing oil consumption at low mileage. I did not find them but I know GrapeApe posted on that. If you can find that there may be a lot of others with that.
    Good Luck to you also!

Well I changed the oil last week. For 15,000 miles i used a gallon of top up oil. I'm back to where i was for oil consumption between services. For myelf i will never be using that new fleetguard filter. I don't think the filtering media inside works well with straight rotella 15w40. It may work better with synthetic or a blend, but with my results it didn't fair well. I hope this helps. I always change my oil at 15k miles and use rotella 15w40....and a baldwin filter.
