On our trucks hidden behind the curtains on the wall is a small speaker on each side..Its easy to miss if you arent looking for them, right next to the upper seat belt anchor on a t680

9 days with new truck and here is my review of the wingman fusion system

Compared to the onguard system the radar portion of this unit works pretty well, not flawless but VERY few false positives.

Has picked up 1 shadow from a bridge but did not apply the brakes hard, cruise was enabled at that time and the system corrected itself almost immedietly

Lane departure portion works ok although as Tow has stated onramps/offramps where sealant is at times system thinks its a lane line..this is the only area lane departure doesnt work correctly

camera for speed signs needs work..split speed signs it will always give car speed

weigh station speed limits are picked up when traveling the highway and bypassing station..system gives an over speed warning

parallel roads to highway camera picks up those speeds also.. overspeed warning

has picked up overpass speed limit signs..i264 thru louisville picked up a 20 mph overpass sign..overspeed warning

camera seems to have a wide area it picks up and gives false speed limit

video capture is not enabled on the truck, driver cannot capture video via the ld button but they can retrieve video in the event of a crash as per head of safety

Overall its an improvement over onguard and the speed limit portion needs work, lane departure works good sans the flaw listed.

As long as you maintain a safe distance, use your signals and stay in your lane this system works ok..for me I have no issue with it but given a choice I would prefer not having it..I like having full control of the vehicle I drive but stabilty systems are on most trucks now from the factory so you never really have full control.

Nice to be back in a 10 spd and the leather seats are much more comfortable..they are heated as well but no cooling thats another upgraded seat option

Miles have been good and another .04 monthly mileage bonus this month as well as #4 Dm..CC is back on nights

    Got my new truck Monday.
No problems with braking systems but my camera is not working and will need repair when I get back.
Talked to safety already about flaws in speed sign recognition and they are aware of the issues. I plan on ignoring this part of the system.
Lane departure does not bother me since I was accustomed to it at Gordon.

I do like the all wheel disc brakes and the leather seats...
I do like getting back into a 10 speed but I am now an expert at shifting from 5th to 7th..lol

Overall I do like it and the safety features will be no problem for me...
I do plan on reducing my cruising speed to 2 MPH below speed limit to avoid over speed warnings. Since Gordon had 62 mph trucks I won't mind.

Yes....I have found that if I have my lights turned off and start the apu first that I can avoid this issue.

My truck "upgrade" was from a 14 series 530K on it to a 16 series with 400K on it.
Pretty discouraging.....my 4th worn out truck in 8 months here.

It's a T680, not your old one. They tried to give me a 15 series Volvo. No way was I gettin in another one of those. My first two trucks here were Volvos. Way too small for a big guy.
The truck doesn't seem to have any major mechanical issues. Mostly just interior problems, like none of the drawer latches work, so they slide open and closed all day. I had to take the door off the big closet because it had no door handle. The drivers seat cushion is mashed flat, no cushioning left, makes my rear end and back hurt after only a couple hours driving.
The other day it had a weird computer brain fart and while it was 85 degrees out and I had the A/C on it decided to blow full heat out the vents. None of the heater controls worked so I couldn't even turn the fan off. Tried shutting the truck off a few times hoping it would straighten out, but it was that way all day. Real nice day.....
Shut down for the night all sweated out. Next morning it worked just fine.
It's just frustrating, I finally get all the bugs worked out of one truck and they "upgrade" me to one with bugs to work out.
