    Exactly what I do. Works great. Doesn't damage anything, biodegradable too.

    Get the cheapest glass cleaner ( Windex type) mix 50% with peroxide. Spray on, let set a minute or two rinse those bugs away.

    Use an ice scraper to remove bugs from the windshield. Put it on a long extendable pole to reach. Fleet I used to drive for had it at the fuel island so the fuelers could easily get bugs off.
