What used to get me, the Home Show was always in an upscale neighborhood. With all the mass confusion that was going on, cement trucks, lumber delivery, shingles, etc, and both sides of the street parked full, inevitably there would be a Cadillac with 3-4 old ladies in it, trying to get down the street, "just to see what was going on", because no one was living there yet.

My roofers work all year round....weather permitting. Can't tear off in the rain, but we can do new construction. I personally prefer working in the winter. If your cold, your not working hard enough.

So I got some "info" on this account today (not really) my boss told me the company is short on drivers and has Jb hunt on standby to pitch in incase they need to use us,she couldn't tell me anything more than that so I looked up companies hiring on Craigslist and viola!

It's essentially a random pop up job for extra work :/ I told her I'd do it just to pass the time until I move on to another company lol

Essentially I was told they'll send me over there when they need help and wish me good luck

Direct is 15-17/hr plus OT on the website it says the driver helps load and unload the shingles by hand onto the roof. If that's the case I think I'll pass

Yeah, the grass seems greener until you learn the details. But, everything is work one way or another, no one is going to pay any of us just for our looks!
