The towmaster I had I used to always scrape tops of my fenders when I had it slide far forward and heavy. The towmaster had a longer neck also, I think this one came in just over a foot shorter than what I had before

Loaded this up off one of our other trucks in flying j parking lot. Only 134,500 gross. Other guy said he was 7400 over on the trailer with 7 axles and had no room to move it in the well. Only thing different on his trailer than the deck I pulled before was his has full fenders on it. I've never had issues loading these before on 7 axles, andknowing how that trailer is spec'd and the well length I know he had plenty of room to move it towards the truck, just makes it harder to chain wen it's almost against the neck
JDP, Oxbow, PeteyFixAll and 1 other person Thank this. -
TripleSix Thanks this.

Just under 53,000. He said he is the same weight empty with a towmaster 3 axle drop side with full load bearing fenders on it

Wow that dudes heavy, I'm about 126,000 gross with our 740 and I tare out at 46,500. On my trailer I load and hook up then back the truck tight to the neck, then I unhook and chain down. I have 24' 6" deck and I'm right at 60,000 on my trailer.
Oxbow and skootertrashr6 Thank this. -
Yeah with my deck I was around 130,000 with a 740. Just went back and found a pic I had of a 740 to look at the date then went back in my email and found permit from it, permitted for 130,500. 15,500 steer 19k pusher 18k each drive axle and 60k on trailer.
Went from Kissimmee, FL to Grand Prairie, TX. Was sitting there waiting for my pilot car to arrive, when another drive came over and said that I don't need a pilot car and he was about to pull his 4th one out of there that week and he only permits for 11'6" because that's what it measures across tires and the scale houses only measure there. Told him he can do what he wants, but I was waiting for a pilot car since I measured it at 12'6" at the widest part on the bolts for the arms on tail gate.MJ1657, JDP, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
