    Short run... HOT Stepdeck load pays good. Why not? I went thru... There is no scale any more... Made it to my destination safely... Thanks who told me its permanently closed. ))

    Yeah I stay out of those rest areas on purpose during daylight hours. Hate that stretch of highway between 76 and Columbus.

    Fyi, can't count on the NB scale to be closed day or night. I used to go through there nightly and they're open more than not.

    They hold grudges too. One of our (idiot) drivers didn't pull in with a permit load, and didn't read the permit either. He was supposed to take 70 to Columbus. They not only hammered him, they yanked every permit isssued to the carrier as a whole. And I got the red light every night for months afterward because I was guilty by association.
