Thanks Playa. Thanks Speed. I talk to Zach & Christine in recruiting this morning. Just finished up my application. Hopefully everything checks out. Wish me luck. I'll be googling and YouTube'in for the next few weeks to try and at least have mental preparation of what's expect with load securing. I did it briefly as a newbie 3 years ago, but I was a bit nervous of my ability and terrified of involuntarily ruining some one else's family. But things are different now. I'm a much more confident driver, and I recently worked with a construction company. So dealing with the elements and fear of securing are no longer a problem for me. I'm confident with proper preparation, vigorous attention paid to what's taught by load securing instructors @ orientation, and a lil TTR reading, I'll be okay.

 

Good news fellas... Got the nod to come down for orientation. My birthday is the 19th which gives me a lil time to square away bills. I'll be in Birmingham on the 27th.

 

Congrats on your new deal.crst does get a bad rep. sometimes I'm not s fan of lease purchase deals but to each there own.i did have my own truck and trailer leased there for awhile.They are a pretty good co.It does take awhile getting in to a groove tho.It really depends on how much $ you have to bring home there is a learning curve getting your own loads.You live in panther country me to.try to stay running in southeast to Midwest and back lot easier to make money with a flat.crst will let you broker loads to Midwest,when I was there didn't have a lot of crst loads out of nc.

 

You might want to try and get a list of approved brokers before you get out of orientation .would save you some time when you are looking for loads

 

Thanks Pepper. And yes sir! #PantherNation my man! What part you from? That's music to my ears too driver. Other than fighting those mountains on 77, I have no problem running that lane. I'm very familiar with it already. Would you say staying in that lane, I can do $2+ a mile?

 

I will definitely do just that. I completely understand SOME of the things necessary to be successful. And I'm ready to work hard.
