ELD or not, you park in someone's way, you gotta move. Can't just kidnap someone by refusing to move.

And then go to work for a company that isn't so stupid as to set the ELD that restrictive that you can't even re-park inside of a truckstop.

Knight is the greedy pig blocking everything. Celadon thinks there is a spot worth shoehorning a tractor trailer into (Notice that scales to his right side blind probably limited his ability to jack causing his temper and ramming of Knight.

It's private property. The owner chooses what to do with both of them. Both drivers have to exchange information and let the safety officers pass judgement. If that Celadon trailer's framing got compromised things just got expensive.

My judgement? I fire Celadon driver for being stupid and incurring damage. I place Knight driver into retraining, reduction of a payroll for a temporary time period. Let him live on 500 miles a week for a while. After demonstrating a inability to place a 18 wheeler into a safe, marked space in what is supposed to be a truck stop.

Celadon driver's final pay check gets taken from him to pay for the damaged that he incurred. My reasoning is based on Knight's in the bunk and not moving while Celadon driver did all the moving and manuvering creating a crash.

I certainly wouldn't be happy if he left his headlights on to shine straight in your windshield all night.
