By the way, DO NOT MENTION the one from nearly 20 years ago. That would bias them into thinking there's a pattern to be wary of. They will not see any record of that on your MVR.
ntb911 Thanks this. -
Yeah this sort of thing is exactly what I was concerned with. If this is a one way ticket to the bottom feeders it would not be worth pursing.Bob Dobalina Thanks this.

The suspension shows on my Illinois driver's abstract. I don't think it ever falls off in Illinois

Sorry, I didn't think it would stay on that long. Does it say why, or just show a general suspension? I had a suspension from long ago for non-payment of an out-of-state speeding ticket. I don't think it was on my MVR after ten years. Each state probably has different rules on that. Or maybe it stays on there due to it being alcohol-related. At least that one is way back. Try a ton of companies. The pre-hire letter, as mentioned before, is your first step.

They are truly expunged and only the suspension remains legally visible?? If so, then the suspension was for unpaid parking tickets or you got behind on child support ... Thats my story and im sticking to it..

lol nope...1 suspension in 1997 for blowing .12 and 1 suspension in 2014 for refusing to blow
in Illinois there are 2 components to a DUI, criminal (the DUI charge itself) and civil (the state going after your license)...so it's very possible to beat one side of the equation but not the other. They're getting money one way or the other.
Also, if you are poor and get a public defender (thank god I didnt need to), you are only guaranteed representation on criminal matters not civil. This is why proportionately poor people end up losing their license, driving on suspended, getting re-arrested and round and round it goes. -
No one on this site can speak for the entire industry. There are just too many variables. We can judge you because we have opinions but we do no know you so our opinions don't hold a lot of weight.
You are asking if anyone will hire you. You are the one that will have to apply. Some companies will bar you for life with to suspensions. Others don't care as long as they can get insurance on you. You will never be the highest paid driver because it is a flaw on your record. But there are many owner operators out there who need someone to drive a truck as well as folks who need partners.
Don't let anyone keep you from your dreams. Know that it will be an uphill fight but apply everywhere. Only provide the information they request. It appears you can honestly say that you have no DUI's as they were not convictions. They will ask if you license has be suspended before and you will have to answer yes. The reason would be administrative.
Good luck and stay safe....and keep us safe too.ipogsd Thanks this. -
Sounds to me that you need to quit trying to #### on peopleipogsd Thanks this.

PTL, Mabe, or Covenant will take you. Go through the pre-hire stuff to make sure.
I went to school with guys with vehicular homicide that got on with carriers, so there is hope. If you learn to drive, you will get on with a starter.
