What to wear while driving the truck

Also when you go into any place, shipper receiver, truck stop restaurant, take your blue tooth head set off. That is the dumbest looking thing. No one is so important they can not stop talking on the phone for a few minutes, especially at a customers facility.

 

It depends on what kind of truck you drive. If it's a long nose Pete then cowboy boots, jeans, and cowboy hat. An old junky Kenworth T2000 requires a wife beater, sneakers, and jeans. And finally if you're in a Volvo 670 then the appropriate attire is an Adidas track suit and flip flops.

 

Nothing screams "I'm a piece of crap" like flip flops on a grown man.

I have a feeling a lot of the people working in the shipping offices [and dealing directly with drivers] at some point talk with the decision makers higher up and no doubt discuss the names of carriers who have the "nastiest drivers" and/or are late quite regularly.
