I wonder if all Watkins drivers will have to submit to schneiders hair test they do now, or the sleep apnea test. Or what about drivers who have a felony that was ok with Watkins but not schneider.
I'm an owner op team, does anyone know how they treat o/o teams?

We are hearing nothing changes. There have been visits to the terminals over the last week from Schneider heads and from what they are telling terminal managers they ain't gonna mess with anything at this time because what we do is working. Pet policy will change but if u have it now you are grandfathered in. That's the only thing they are saying that's changing right now.

W/S is the best decision I could have made. East Coast dispatch keeps me rolling. Everyone knows me by name. Some of the greatest humans on the planet work at W/S. Just bought my own truck. I thought I would retire at W/S (with ideas of my own small fleet running with them). Not sure how much Schneider is going to "shake the tree", not really concerned either. It could be a great thing, I'm just going to see what time tells on this one. Just a lil disappointing knowing the people you truly like might not be there anymore.

Schneider does not require sleep apnea test... Only if you have a history of it otherwise no

More than likely they will keep you guys on what they call Schneider dedicated doing this furniture runs and I can say that majority of the drivers on dedicated over here make very good money... They have their own operations it's nothing like OTR division

Yes we are a part of Schneider dedicated. Everything they are telling us so far seems very good. And I'm very happy for that. I love it at Watkins.

I talked to a couple of drivers that set in on the meetings with the heads this past week. From what they are saying was said was they knew the main concerns and one of them was the trucks. And they were not cutting them back. Leaving them at 65. The pet policy will change but ones that have them are grandfathered in. Nothing else will change. They said what we do is working and they were not gonna rock the boat. One driver said that the way he understood was that all new freightliners were being ordered and everyone would be getting a new truck. I don't know if I believe that because some are in brand new volvos but that's what was said. Like I said this is all coming from drivers that were in the meeting but idk I wasn't personally in the meeting. I say stick it out and see what happens. That's what I'm doing. All the dispatchers seem positive so far so I'm trying to stay the same way lol

IMO, everything has to be taken with a grain of salt. Schneider has been in business for a while and the methods they have obviously work, people still want to work there. You really couldn't have expected them to come out of the gate switching things left and right, the drivers worth anything would quit without hesitation. They have certain policies in place for a reason, however, let those speeding/cell phone tickets creep up to a certain amount and the restrictions will soon follow.

I just want to provoke thought within some people who take everything people say literally. #### is going to change eventually, don't be surprised.

Things will change, SNI loves to baby drivers and expect all to require hand holding. Enjoy it for 6 months and you'll see big changes. Eventually it'll all become SNI no matter what they're telling you right now. Most of you have FB. Join the SNI page to get a good feeling of the daily handholding SNI thinks their drivers require. To them you're no different than a number and will be treated the same. Those of you with years of experience, now's the time to get out and get a real job that pays. SNI is just a rookie mill. Orange Swift.
