Okay since a lot of people keep asking me the same question here's my answer. Maverick offered me $.40/mile at TCD 48 states but average miles is 23-2600/week. Immidiate family only for rider Bus ride for orientation No pet policy. Only freightliner trucks. Abilene offered me. $.36/mile but will average 3000 per week. I pull either reefer / dryvan so theres more miles opportunity than just staying as reefer Drop/Hook Plenty of selection of trucks Volvos, Freighliners , Peterbilt They flew me to orientation so No bus ride Rider - I can have rider as long as they are above 13 years old. Pet - I can have pet with me And in Orientation I'm just the only one here. So it's super laid back. I'm very impresed with the company
Hi Everyone, I've followed this website for awhile now, and Im currently attending CDL School but graduate on the 24th. I've already gotten approved for Maverick. I just have to file for my passcard in order to be in the glass division. I've been in the military for nine years this August, so I'm sure I'll be familiar with military environment. Hopefully I can get scheduled for orientation by July 3rd, but if not it'll be the following weekend for sure. I've read the approval letter listing items to bring with you to orientation, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on additional items to bring with me when I go to Little Rock?
I was going to go to Trans Am, but decided to take a look at Maverick and really, really liked what I saw, liked all that I talked to and just felt that this was a better choice. Recruiting said whenever I am ready, let them know. This is as first class of a company as they come off as. I also liked the fact that this company is owned by some wealthy guy who just wants to own a trucking company and that the owner really did start as a trucker.
Get the truckers atlas a lot of people either didn't bring one or bought one at Walmart that wasn't for truckers!
