I have to fill out a Log Book if I only drive in New Jersey? What about if I only drive the tractor trailer one day of the week? Thank You!!!

If you fall under the short-haul exception, you do not have to fill out a log.

In other words, if you work more than twelve hours (lunch included) or drive outside a 100 air miles radius from your home terminal, you have to fill out a log. Now, if you needed a log, you need the previous seven days (8 including today), and I don't think they will bite the I-only-work-one-day deal. You probably have another job, so if you do not drive a commercial truck, those hours are logged as on-duty not driving and count towards your 70 hours in a 8 day period.
