Sleepers in OTR trucks

I park behind Ralphs in Carson every week and I see their drivers sleep in the day cabs all the time,one guy even has a pillow.

 

I had a plywood plank to span the seats and a pillow at my last job due to tons of downtime and weird hours. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.

 

I was stuck in a daycab for awhile and put a plastic mile crate between the seats and was able to sleep that way.

 

I think that Volvo set up is probably the nicest. Does it get hot sleeping on the top bunk? How's the ac in those volvos?

 

Alot of it has nothing to do with the actual truck ac it has to do with how is your Apu ac.

 

I have a 14 Volvo,and the ac kicks tail,when its working 'sigh'.I put a twin size blowup mattress 40 dollars from Walmart,on the bottom bunk and I sleep like a baby.

 

I thought about that in my cascadia. But there are too many bolts and other stuff I was afraid would pop an inflatable one.

 

Lay a bedspread down or something.

 

Real trucks don't have sleepers

 

Real trucks do have sleepers but they're a lot smaller than the ones today. A modern truck driver wouldn't even fit in them.
