today was a no shirt day in shorts with flip flops
-
no doubt lol
-
I used a cheap knock off to shower in and kept in my dirty clothes bag. Now that I am not driving my favorite pair is the Yukon croc

Typically, on just a "drive day", I wear shorts, sandals, t-shirt, and clean skivvies at least every shift. Sunglasses are on if it's not overcast, and my Bluetooth headset goes around my neck, easier to grab it and put it on that way.
If I have to pickup or deliver, swap the sandals for tennis shoes and socks, and the Bluetooth microphone gets folded back out of the way. -
So after 175 replies and still going, has your question been answered?
I think you're going to be just fine. Whatever you're most comfortable in (work appropriate, obviously) is your best bet starting out. After a while you will learn what works best for you.
I don't want to have to choose what to put on, so dress nearly the same every day that I drive. Duluth Trading Company Firehose work pants year round. Shirts vary by season, but I'm liking the Carhartt high visibility T shirts for summer. No need for donning a vest when wearing one of these and I'm in compliance with customer safety rules as soon as I drive in.
I prefer not to change clothes for each stop/task that I do, so I try to wear something that works well for both driving and working at the customers'. -
If you are a super trucker wear cowboy boots, jeans and a pocket tee that you hold your skoal in. You don't need a tire thumper just get out of the truck and kick the tires with your boots while spittin skoal juice all over. If you are a modern day trucker you wear flip flops from the dollar store, a wife beater and boxer shorts with your gonads hangin out.
SHOJim and nonsense007 Thank this. -
I think this is more true than we would like to admit, lol.

I just got a sweet pair of reef flip flops for $50 with compression soles. Ready for my next trip.
