Tomorrow, I hop in the seat behind a 10 speed after driving an auto shift for more than a year. Any pointers? Wish me luck!
The transmission might survive. Maybe.
After more than a year driving automatic, going back to 10 speed manual...

Actually, you are correct. But not for the reason that you might have in mind.
The truck I'm moving to is CNG fuel, not diesel. My company pays a premium rate for driving the CNG trucks, because they erred on the tank capacity and as a result they have a range of around 220 miles between fuel stops.
They did the math right for range based on tank capacity, but they based the calculations on a slow fill vs. a fast fill. The fast fill is about 30% less capacity than the slow (overnight) fill. And we don't have slow fill capability. So I'll have to fuel at least twice for each day trip. And that means extra miles as well, because CNG fueling stations are not as plentiful as diesel fueling stations. Which means that I may end up having to fuel three times on a single trip, depending on the routing.
My day will be extended by at least one hour by driving the CNG truck.Wargames Thanks this.
