    Slowly. Well. At 60 :)
    I don't really drive it. I make steering adjustments as it figures out the rest. I'm a professional steering wheel holder that sometimes has to back up and push a pedal.

    But what to do? Gotta get experience somewhere and I know nothing of trucking, so...

    Ok do you been out very short.

    Most Interstate speeds are 70 mph or faster.

    And you go 60 mph.

    So they preached safety safety safety.

    But what is safe about doing 60 in a 80, 75, 70, or 65 mph speed zone?

    Honestly, I don't terribly mind the speed. It doesn't feel too dangerous most of the time. There are certain places where I feel like a turtle that's about to get roflstomped to death. But majority of interstates you'll have plenty of trucks going 60-63 so it evens out. Personally, I'd love to go 65. Would be an excellent speed to not impede traffic so much and also not be stressing out about the *** in front of me not getting over since I can go way faster.

    Problem with a huge carrier like sni and all others is that they hire in bulk. Since each individual driver can't be really monitored (and if they can, who's watching the watchers?) it's much less risky to turn down everyone. In 10 new hires 1 is going to hit ####. If sni limits speed and puts all those sensors they can keep turning the wheel of fresh meat and tax incentives without investing more in the training program. And it looks great to their investors since trucks hitting #### costs them money.

    Edit: I write sni here but I apply this to all companies that thrive by pumping new drivers until they quit since it's more profitable to train new and replace than it is to retain quality

    Ok think about it this way you make .37 CPM.

    60 miles times. 37 cpm is 22.20 a hour.

    But 70 times .37 is 25.90 a hour not a big difference right?

    70 times 9 is 630 miles
    60 times 9 is 540 miles

    630 times 7 is 4410 miles a week and not burning up your 70 hour clock. Never need a 34 hour restart.

    4410 times .37 is 1631 gross a week.


    But the big orange pumpkin won't even give 2800 in a 60 mph truck.

    2800 times . 37 is just over a grand a week.

    So your losing over 600 bucks a week by not running the speed limit.

    This should tick you off.

    Shh, you're making too much sense in a sni forum, that might be a bannable offense.

    In all seriousness though, I know. I've ran the numbers and the way I see it each 1mph is at least equal to 1cpm if not more. But like I said, new and no experience. Me and sni both profit here. I just hope I'm smart enough to notice when the scale tips way more in their favor than I'm comfortable with.
