so I applied for a company and of course they did my background check. On my background check was 2 charges of improper equipment tickets which were speeding tickets that have gotten reduced all of this happened back in 2009. Ever since then my record has been clean. How do I explain this to the company because they are asking about it.

Gee, they go back that far. I thought three years was all they get.

Here's what I'd tell the subordinates at my current job: Admit to your mistakes but point out that you learned from them as proof of your clean 6 years since.

Now, whether you learned to not speed or just not get caught... keep that to yourself. XD

Keep your #### mouth shut. If they ask a specific question about something you broke, got caught with or wahtever, tell em and be a good boy and never sin anymore pretty please. Be submissive.

Come here to these forums with your real story about that ####### who set you up....

    =)

Never volunteer anything. Shoot em, shut up and shovel em.

Lol thank you that's what I was thinking. They are giving me a chance to explain myself but I am the type that doesn't believe in excuses. So we will see I guess.

It's stupid sometimes I have had fat middle aged heart dieseaed interviewers rake me over the coals imparting judgement and hellfire for smashing 500 dollars worth of green curbing with my covered wagon one day... that was a mortal sin. I would be better off garroting people standing in the line to the monkey house or something nice.

Ugh. Some companies with that kind of .. overbearing stiff stuck up long noses literally talk me into going to work for someone else. And they wonder why they cannot get help. I tell you something, Im deaf. It's the way it is, I use hearing aids like some use glasses. No big. deal. No. But some employers I discover that they are such discriminators they set up for ACA lawsuits.

Talking to employers is both a discovery and sometimes a ####show. You just have to use your best judgement in deciding if you want to run for the sumoafabitch or not.

If they ask you to explain, do. Tell the true because they already know the truth. Everyone who gets a defective equipment charge is a speeding ticket. Always tell the truth but never tell more then what is asked.

WA state keeps everything on your driving record for 55 years if you have a CDL. Everything, means moving violations, truck violations, and convictions of anything. Prepare to explain for everything, because the information is super easy for an employer to get.
