Has anyone attended one of the events? I have been bombarded with both e mails, and phone calls to attend this. They are having one of these in Phoenix next week. Anyone know what the deal is?

I just received the rate sheet. Their rates are like pulling containers just not heavy. It's not my cup of tea. Check it out for yourself

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Yes, been getting them from Arrow. They buy chairs & furniture from the same places that I pick up from in LA. Whereas I pick up 1-5 pallets, they have 1/2 to 3/4 of a trailer.

I was thinking about going over there Wed. to check it out and ask the Amazon guy what kind of operation they have, as far as unloading times, and what he is looking for in a carrier.

Have heard about long wait times, don't have time for that bs.

I'm just fishing, but seems like a " We need trucks dedicated to us, and these guys will sell you one, and we'll even carry the paper."
They have a giant distribution warehouse here, wonder if that's what it is. LA to PHX dedicated. What would the load to LA be?
ibclam19 seems un impressed. I'm locked into taking care of Dad. So anything that would keep me away from home is out.
If I could be away from home I'd just get a truck and go back to doing the super regional. I ran a lot, but it was easy, and $2K, after all the blue sky & $525 truck payment, plus home on the weekend.
I made more with another company, but was gone for 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Could have made A LOT more there, but you are dispatched, and no one loves me like I do, so I'd probably just go Landstar after doing the super regional for awhile.

But its a free bar b q, & Wednesday & Thursday are my days off. So I'll probably take a peak. Typically one day is all chores & sleep, the other take Dad to play poker.
