You will not get responses so quick sometimes. Have you tried using the sites search function?
-
Do IRT drivers wait around in the Northeast and Midwest?
-
Sometimes you need to be patient here. Use the search function lot of info on the site.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Milk haulers "wait around" at dairies in the entire country. Hurry up and wait is the name of the game when you are hauling milk or cream. Wait for hours to get in a bay and then once in a bay, you wait again. There are a few exceptions, but on a general rule the receivers at most of the dairies couldn't care less about you waiting. Try Purity in Nashville, Tn and get a taste of "waiting around".

You have to wait.
I waited. At the greenspring in Baltimore when 20 others are in line waiting to unload and sanitize.
Picking up milk at the farm is easy with the Diamond T or Mack walking beam on that terrain, it's the delivery that takes a few hours. Pass the time with sea chanteys (Baltimore thing...) and cards etc.
Sometimes I think it would be the perfect fit for me winding out the end of my life in trucking these kinds of milk runs.Ozlady Thanks this. -
