No they fire. It's freaking 10 to 30 thousand dollars for a replacement engine. they probably sue too. I hope you have civil liability insurance.

I didn't get into it with a suit, just a "Pantera Hippie Unloader at a place in Sacramento years back.Wanted me to hand unload a full load of ceramic sinks. It was about 100° and he didn't have himself or anyone else available to help.Told him I'm not about to!. "Go smoke your pot and listen to your Pantera. He went and told a suit, stayed there 6 hours waiting on some lumpers.Company ..... about it ,still couldn't get fired.

I have seen it, the manager didn't like the guy and told him to leave. The owners back the manager and that was it. He was gone.

Used to be a running joke at Star Transportation (the blue one in Nashville, before they were owned by Covenant). Wreck a truck, get a new one. The safety director that held that position when I left was rumored to have had to be removed from driving for too many infractions.

When I first started out I delivered a load to a company in Georgia. Big warehouse. Myself and a 65 year old Black man arrived at the same time. We both went it and dropped our bills off. The other driver asked if he could use the restroom. The woman there said no. Now she was also black. But when she said no it had a lot of extra words in it that could be considered insulting. He very politely went out the front door, dropped his pants and left a large pile of negativity right on the front steps. The CEO of the company watched this in fascination. Now when you go there you will see a separate Drivers Lounge.

A certain intensity is ok, but violence to hurt people is not. That gets you marked and outcast from society and then hunted by your beloved authoritys to the ends of the earth despite your protests to the contrary.

Lie about hitting something. Fail to report an accident. Alternatively, schtupping the owner's daughter and posting the video on the company Facebook page should do the trick.
