37K That all? What ambition do you have?

Remember, Trucking can throw me out of the industry for medical reasons, but I am a trucker forever and ever like it or not.

Trucking should be viewed as a journey in life, hopefully a wonderful one. It is also a exposure of things that go on around the USA that most poeple are completely unaware of. Maybe it will point to a gravy work as it did for me one day in Arkansas.

Those of you who were married probably can understand and appreciate how difficult it can be to get a wife to listen, learn and evolve into a Trucker in her own right. We did not jump into this blindly She was with Uncle Sam employed by same and responsible for times up to a quarter of a million in cash (Which is now essentially converted to direct deposit paper work rather than cash requiring a human to audit same to the penny twice a day.) And raking in a nice little wage and benefit packages to boot. What she decided to do when the trucking and college was graduated for her was a surprised and at the same time not a suprised.

Dear Uncle Sam is one of the hardest employers ever to work for or even to get hired onto. What a shame.

And might i add, from what i have gathered, during the second phase of training im guaranteed $700/week before taxes which should give me right around 550 to 575 take home pay. At my current job,i average $725/bi weekly after taxes. So even during training,im gaining $375 every two weeks. Money isnt the only reason im doing this, but its definitely one. I mean,i have a family to support...

If you ever swing by the little rock petro sometimes we are down there keeping in touch with a meal. Who knows we might feed you and others. But no promises at the moment, we are in battle medically.

Ive thought about Sin City. I have some friends there. Im evaluating the water situation at the moment overall in that region week to week.

To be brutal honest, my love is here in Arkansas. I will not be free of her any time soon (Nor want to be.)

Don't remember his name now, it's been a few years, but a retired Army Colonel I used to chat with at the gym drives for Schneider and loves the open road. He had a big paying office job after retirement and the company downsized and laid him off so he enrolled in truck driving school. He lives in a wealthy neighborhood near Nashville and one time in Kroger I heard his neighborhood women gossiping about him being a truck driver and living in THEIR neighborhood. I didn't mention it to him and he couldn't have cared less anyway. Real nice guy.

Learn to adapt to less water; redo the lawn with "desert landscape" and drink whiskey vs. water.

That is part of my matrix that Im building on sin city. Another part is that I discovered the eastern Sierras to have a hold on me even thought I know they are deadly in winter. Maybe normal people could care less and never see the wild beauty of those mountain ranges.

The second challenge is the getting to the place. It's 4 days on the ground plus Hoover.

You do know that truckers, in general, are not highly thought of. Unfortunately, most truckers live up to that reputation.
