Hi, I keep getting the texts from DOTComplianceFinder.com (registered to a PO box in LA makes me suspicious) to complete DOT supervisory training. If legit requirement US DOT would have hard mailed a copy is this training required?
Only one driver listed on my DOT #. So I supervise myself.
Dot Supervisor training ?

If you would like to claim $3.5 million from an unknown family member, help out a 21 year old female that inherited a diamond mine but needs help to flee from her evil step mother. It only requires your routing and checking account number I will pass them along to you. Not sure how I got so lucky lately or the best way to get rid of them. DOT does not operate that way! Answer nothing and block the number.
LGarrison Thanks this. -
Its a scam. I get emails almost daily from them on this.

A friend of my in the lawn care business stepped up about a year ago and had to get a DOT number. He said the application required his Email address and now he is flooded with junk like that. Any thing like that happen to you recently? Anyone else have that problem? Government or an employee selling or information or they just give it away for free?

FMCSA does not sell any personal information including email addresses. However the data is public record and email addresses can be easily obtained through public records requests, automated lookup, and manual lookup in FMCSA public access databases, ie MCMIS, SAFER, SMS, etc.
It is very common for companies to get a list of trucking companies based on size, location, etc and spam/mail them trying to get their business. It is all public record.
Any supervisor, manager, or company official who oversees drivers is required to a have supervisor training. The training is a minimum of 1 hr on drugs and 1 hr on alcohol. The training can be conducted online, training sessions, workbook, etc. There are many companies that "threaten" if you do not have it you will be fined. FMCSA does not endorse any particular provider and although these letters do not rise to the level of criminal activity, they are shaddy. So the training is required for supervisors, you can get it anywhere, and ignore the threat of fines. -
Scam, these people really started sending me more notices after I had the audit...
Besides, you being the only driver, you are not required to have supervisor training or do reasonable suspicion testing. You still have to have an in depth drug and alcohol policy.
