On my T680, I can either have them come on when I tap the brakes, or if I turn off the cruise, the jakes come on as soon as I let off the throttle.

mine was set up so when the cruise switch was on the jakes would only turn on when I touched the brake pedal. With cruise off they would come on whenever I let off the throttle. I turned that feature off so if the jake switch is on they will turn on whenever I let off the throttle. I also turned off the fan assist because I got tired of listening to the fan kick on, plus I think it creates a lot more wear and tear on the fan clutch.

It can be done. No you won't find a parameter for it in the ECM either. Personally I think its a very bad idea. Riding the brakes all the way down the mountain just so the jake can operate.
