    The food service/ltl companies in my area? I live in Kingsport Tn and the nearest Sysco is over 90 miles away.

    Try these, not sure you're in their hiring area, but worth a phone call.
    Also, what about the grocery warehouse in Johnson City. Can't remember the name of it.

    Sygma Network
    McLane Company
    Reinhart Food Service
    Blue Line Foodservice
    Southeastern Freight
    Gordon Food Service

    Used to be Institutional Foods (IF) but now I think they got bought out by Reinhart Foodservice.

    Screenshot_20160709-063343.png I just did a quick Google Search of "LTL companies near Kingsport TN", and it looks like there are several within 30 miles of you. Here's a screenshot from my mobile search, I haven't looked on my computer yet...good luck.
    @Chinatown..?

    That's a good map. I'd put Saia as first choice and Southeastern as second.
    Tankstar has a small terminal near Eastman. Good if you have tanker'/hazmat endorsement.

    Ltl is a lot easier on the body than food service! Both are tough gigs

    And even that will depend on the route, because not all routes are created equal.

    ^^^ truth there! Had I the opportunity in my younger [half life] years, I may have entertained the thought. Then you have @Mike2633 the younger guy, who has this by the horns . . . a fellow Buckeye, nonetheless. I wish you luck, but as GV stated, its not for us 'old in age, but young-at-heart~!'
    I hear great things; wish I could shed 30 years and 30# . . .
    Good luck, be safe~!!!

    Giuseppe Ventolucci and Mike2633 Thank this.
