Trans force is enormous, probably lots of work and you will be a number.

Beacon I haven't heard either way. What kind of work are you looking for and I'm guessing you are looking for a Toronto area base?

 

Company driver? Owner operator?

Zavitz out of St Catharines area has lots of East Coast runs. Robert does lots of Toronto to Montreal. There are many, that's just off the top of my head.

 

I had an interview with Canadian freight ways in bunaby here, a trans force company, I would have dedinately taken it if it was what I was looking for but it was all city work. Which is not bad. But I was looking for something where I could be on the highway more. It was a union environment also. Being as im already in a union and doing city work with higher pay and easier work there was no incentive to switch over. But had that been my first opportunity, without a doubt I'd be all for it. Trans force is huge and there's nothing better than knowing you'll get your pay cheque on pay day unlike some of the shady companies here in BC.

 

I reckon Beacon just does a 300 mile radius of the GTA hauling reefers. I could be wrong but I definitely don't see them outside of Ontario myself

 

I would NOT recommend Canada Cartage !!! Major on going issues with getting payed properly. These pay issues started a couple years ago , and have escalated to the point of being short payed $1-200.00 every week. If you like to work 10 hours, and get payed for 4 , .... go for it.
