yea, I am researching to get as much info as I can before I make the comment.

After living on ships, being in a lightweight truck will make you think you're back in the Navy.akfisher Thanks this.
-
ha ha thanks, sounds like the living conditions is something I am used to
-
I too live in San Diego. Many companies that you WANT to drive for won't hire us, because we're outside of the freight lanes. That leaves the megas. They have freight everywhere but will terminal you in Fontana or Ontario. From my experience, get whatever training you can and get that 1 year of experience. Then move to a company that doesn't train, but has freight lanes here, like James H Clark or even sign on with an independent.

thanks i am looking at Prime and Jim Palmer, possible CRST.
-
Avoid CRST. S#!t company for drivers. I started there in 98. Walked away after 3 months (post trainer). They didn't care about the driver one iota.
-
Thanks for the info, Prime seems to b my #1 choice, r u driving for anyone?
-
I'm local at the moment. Family issues keeping me here. But going back out pretty soon. I can't stand not being out on the road.
