I keep very detailed records and use my own spreadsheet with a lot of info on each load.

I have every log/bol/trip info/pay stub I have done since I started feb 2009 at home in a file cabinet

 

Once I leave this occupation I am going to have a nice bonfire

 

I guess I am kinda OCD when it comes to my work, I used to turn wrenches for years and everything has its own place and needs to be in just that place.

I am very organized and hate disarray

I ran a business for years and kept everything in my head....

Unfortunately my head is no longer accepting new information..

 

I also ran a shop in that timeframe

Employees are a major headache with the drama they bring.

I will bend over backwards for a good employee BUT if I didnt like one my favorite saying when they started the moaning #####ing whining was....I dont see no ball and chain around your ancle,you are free to leave at any time..followed by either quit or s t f u and get back to work.

I have zero tolerance for stupid people.

 

And yes I have a vile mouth, Im originally from upstate NY

 

I felt like i was a babysitter most of the time...

Got tired of guys saying.. that's not my job...

So i called a meeting and renamed everbodies job title to do whatever i tell you to do..

 

This is one reason why I cut dispatchers /dms /ams whatever they wanna call them a lot of slack..dealing with the number of people they do and knowing and experiencing what I have with employees in the past. I do my best to not be a thorn in their side.

Truck driving has actually mellowed me out.

 

well I finally got to see Shelbyville up close, I had a load picking up at Sanford corp. quite a few Big G trailers In the lot. I spent the night around the corner at another warehouse just as you turn down eagle dr. I ran out of time, and a local driver said I would be fine as long as I was out early. So quiet, I loved it.
