Only 5.99 if I just buy one! I'm surprised at that length shipping is so cheap!breadtrk Thanks this.

I wouldn't recommend the 7 foot Firestick, just too much wind resistance torquing against the mount, even with extra support off the top of the mirror. I have one that the stud snapped off of. Sure wouldn't run it in the winter if I do find another one. Icing is a problem.

I would never recommend a fiberglass antenna on East Coast during the winter time because of the ice issue. At least my antenna will bend like Gumby if I hit an eagle at 75 miles an hour and the 5/8" fiberglass insulator is virtually unbreakable

I've run the 7ft SkipShooter now for several years. Braced like I have it, wind resistance is a non factor.

Snow and ice where you live is a non factor also25(2)+2 Thanks this.

I had the 7ft skipshooters on my Kw for 1 winter and just like any other antenna i stop to get the ice off the antenna and never had a problems with it.
Actually my predator were worst than my skipshooters whenever there was ice on it, the coils were pretty bad with the ice. -
You have to keep it knocked off. We only get a few ice/snow storms a year that might last a day or two, I might feel different if I lived in the NE.

Best CB Shop in NE Ohio is at the Pilot truck stop in Seville, Ohio.
At Rt71 & Rt 76.
Kevin Williams really knows how to set up any CB right, at a fair price !
