I know this is a long shot but are there any? I have had a CDL B for ten years and would like to go OTR. I live in NC. There are maybe O/O that do it but any companies?

The real question is if you've been USING that class B for the last 10 years. FedEx has custom critical, which I believe requires hazmat.

Oh yes I have been using it. I just moved to NC and gave up the Haz Mat because I would need to do the finger printing thing. Not a big deal but I'm not using it now driving for a bottled water co. I can always go back to get it.

But I thought Fed Ex Custom critical was o/o......and I'm sure even if some OTR companies have CDL B trucks that want you to have a CDL A so you can drive any of their trucks.

Just wanted to see if anyone knew for sure. I used to do overnights when I lived in MA to CT but that was once a month and only one night. Not even enough to get my feet wet.

I think FedEx CC is O/O, but I believe Panther's the same way. I talked to two guys on teaming in the FedEx CC truck and they say they make great money, hauling mostly explosives and other hazmat.

Panther and FedEx Custom Critical are O/O but there are many fleet owners that own several trucks and contract drivers . The driver usually gets 60% of gross revenue and buys the fuel but gets the fuel surcharge . Google expedite forums

I saw a bolt express truck that is the same as Panther. I would like to know how they do. I would hate to sign with them only for you to give you no work. I would like to talk to a recruiter that isn't full of crap

If you call the FedEx Custom Critical recruiter she will mail you a printout of complete info on each type of truck from cargo van to tractor . It'll show last year's fleet averages on gross pay , percentage of time available , miles run . You have to learn the freight lanes and try to avoid too many runs to areas with little freight coming out .
