Leaking what appears to be oil from between where the intake manifold connects to the block. Worse at cylinder 1, 2 isn't as bad, 3 not as bad as 2, 4 is barely leaking, 5 and 6 no leaks. Is this something to worry about? It is difficult to take decent pictures. The oil has actually pooled at cylinder 1.

Easy does it now, pull that blue line off that goes from the intake to compressor see if its full of oil. You could just have compressor trouble. Also make sure blow by tube isn't restricted. If the head is that bad that oil is running past the guides then exhaust is to. It cooks the oil on the valve springs which is real easy to spot by pulling the cover.

Removed line at intake where it feeds compressor. No oil in there. Checked all air tanks (I almost never drain them) and there is little to no moisture coming out. Valve cover coming off is an at home thing.... that's beyond what I feel comfortable doing at a truck stop.

I should add I have oil samples done every 3 or 4 times, always clean. Waiting for the results now actually. Overhead was run shortly after I got this truck, I'd estimate 250,000 miles on the current valve set. Just don't need a catastrophic breakdown....knock on wood

Are you running your truck for A/C, clean up all oil then run down hi way for hours when you stop ck for oil, then ck. after sitting all night at idle to see a diff. amount of oil.

I almost never idle for ac. I use the redneck generator setup with window unit hanging out the door or just use the window screens and a fan.

A new valve cover gasket will hopefully fix it up?

Going to let my mechanic deal with it when I get home. Coming from between where head meets block and intake air goes in.
In the mean time ...
