No where near enough information to give even a ballpark answer.
Big Cam 1 2 3 or 4?
Whats the CPL number?
You have a large hood with a big rad to cool it down?
And what do you need 1500hp for?
that's going to be pretty hard to get out of a big cam and have it stay together for any reasonable period of time...
Better find yourself a KTA if that's truly what you are after. -
As much as I hate to say it Pittsburgh power made his name on big cam engines he may be best choice nowadays
-
No one, PP didn't get much over 1100 useable from a KTTA.
Aluminum pistons will always be the limit, not to mention there is no feasible way to supply that much fuel and get it all burnt. -
-
I heatd Cummins are not strong enough to make over 600 hp and stay together.
-
Factory engines run 605hp in generator sets, again more trucker talk that comes from people not know what they are doing when they set them up.
-
heads move around to much over 650
-
I have no issues with the heads currently, and if you want to go off of what Bruce says of 16hp per pound of boost then mine is around 735hp.

There is a difference in hp #'s..Some can calculate an x hp # and some can produce that same # but its when you can produce that x hp # efficiently..
Here is a basic example. You buy two identical peddle bikes..Maintain one and leave the other outside..You are the hp of that bike..With the maintained bike you will go further/faster on less energy than you will on the bike left alone outside..
