I did, but it appears they keep opening and closing the door. They had only opened 18 slots when they called me, so they're being pretty choosy.

so its about maintain the ic level they have now.

Thank you everyone for the replies.
I am still learning a lot.
I had not even heard the term glider until this week.
Seems like glider is the way to go as I am looking at a max price range of $50,000 -
Been an IC for a couple of years and there's a lot of good advice on here OP. If I wasn't running CA I would have a glider in a second. As was stated earlier stay the hell away from the early emissions trucks, that's a no brainer. Used truck is going to be somewhat hit-and-miss although due diligence will help a whole lot. If you're not running in CA then I'd say a quality glider with a Detroit 60 series is a very good bet. In any event good luck.

Are they cherry picking Choice IC's or regular company drivers?
-
I think he's referring to Choice Apps.
-
Schneider needs you to have a truck 2010 or newer to be IC, but gliders with engines etc older than 2010 are fine right?

Assuming he is still there, try to get in touch with Glen in Green Bay. He handles company drivers switching to choice and is more than helpful. Great dude. He can answer all your questions. I switched from company to choice and brought my own truck on a few year's back. He was a huge help.

Another question,
Do we get our own insurance when we buy the truck or do we get it through Schneider? -
You can get thru Schneider or get your own .
TDFair Thanks this.
