Oh yeah, this power only load I'm on right now is paying me $3.29/mile on 226 miles. The catch you might ask is it was a 4 am delivery.

I am in this for myself. Certainly not sharing my soup with you. You are not my brother. If so.. where were you last year when I needed help? Exactly.

If you are so smart then why are you here asking about other's rates? Do you believe I or anyone else is hiding secrets from you? Of course we are. This is a cut throat business. We undercut each other on a daily basis. This is what truckers do and will continue to do.

Anyone running brokered freight off the boards is doing the same as anyone else running off the boards. Some work it better than others. But the rates are what the rates are. We might negotiate for a little more.. or get lucky and call on a good paying load that just popped up before anyone else. But for the most part.. it is what it is.

I dont sit on loads for days and I have done multi-drop/pick loads successfully. Pick and choose your battles wisely.

If you dont like a rate.. dont do it. Its really that simple.

And just a hunch.. but the difficulty in trying to read what you type leaves me to beleive you are not a very educated person. If you talk like that in real life.. I would suspect brokers feel they have a good mark on the line.. throw some numbers at you, when you hesitate trying to figure it out.. they know you will operate for below grade rates.

Think about this for a moment. Brokered freight has a middle man with his hands in the pie. How can you possibly think hauling brokered freight is anything other than 3rd class rates?

haha hey hurst, btw was your trailer at FLUtility recently? I was up there checking out trailers and saw one that matched the one in your avatar. Very slick setup, can the ramps double as levelers for longer flatbed freight?

This has me cracking up! Some of this is stand up comedy material!

I'd share my rate cons that are all above 2.30 a mile w/o FSC/unloading/detention/etc... but you'd think I used photo edit.

flatbeb mac and redoctober83 Thank this.
