So after a couple of months of researching companies that hire recent grads, I finally decided to go with TransAm trucking, and am being sent to Mesquite, TX for training on 8-16-08. I am pretty nervous, and up until today haven't read anything really bad about the company. Anyone have any info on this company, and it's quality of training. I badly want to get the best start possible in this industry, and have my fingers crossed. Any info on this would be helpful.
Also, I see that their fleet is Autoshifts. In anyones opinion, is this going to hurt me in the long run starting with autoshifts? I feel completely confident in my shifting skills, but I only have what I learned in school to go on. I was very quick to learn, and I am hoping that getting my experience with TransAm won't hurt me in the future.
Thanks in advance.
TransAm Trucking a good place to start?
