If I read this right, there hiring in most states, but have only 4 trucks, and one terminal????? Unless your hard up for work, I would pass and look else where, especially if your a family person and need benefits....I don't know what family doesn't, your best bet is to look at the large training companies to get your start Schneider, Swift, CFI, just to name a few..

you notice things like "live in truck" and a blank after "home time offered"?

That tells you why they'll hire from anywhere - they are not going to make any effort to get you back to where you signed on. "in route home time" - if the load is gong past your house, you can probably sleep in your own bed for one night (my interpretation)

As a family man, I'd say walk away, unless you *NEED* a job right darn now. other than that - if I was single, I'd be interested.

Are you sure they dont have benefits or are they just not listing any? Like a couple have pointed out, it sounds a little flaky. If your a family man you might not ever see your family. But.........never hurts to contact them, maybe they could give you a little more detail.

Thank you all for your reply, being the week end I will not receive anymore info till Mon 18th. I am sure they do not offer any benefits because when I asked the owner said that he had been tying to track the ins. guy down with no luck and that they planned to have ins in the future. The only thing I figure is that if I make enough $, I could buy my own ins. The only problem is I am apprehensive about what I will actually make due to it being a private owned company and various loads. But at the same time I have read posts about the flatbeds being a great way to make good money if you are willing to work. I am not jumping in to anything immediately and appreciate all the help from all. Just FYI- I am also looking into USA truck ,.was accepted and then postponed due to DAC record of discharge from Werner (during orientation) for high bp and previous renal failure that had been ok'd for release to work from DR. It seems that USA is a good c/o to start with. Any how , sign off for know. Again , Thanks

Just to update, the particular job that this post was about was for 1y otr exp. I only have 3 mo. I knew this beforehand but the owner of this co who called me didn't care. He was just a contractor for a bigger co whom I talked to today. They said it must be at least 1 yr. Thanks again for everyone's input.

Way too many red flags going up here. I would not walk away from this one, I would RUN. You will find that there are a lot of small companies that may be just fine to work for. But that depends on the definition of "small."

He can't track down his insurance man? He MAY offer benefits in the future? Can you say horse schidt?

He wants two years OTR, no one year OTR, but doesn't care you only have 3 months OTR. Can you say bull hockey?

Nah, I'd give him a pass.

Go with a reputable company. They are out there.
