Perhaps you can explain why this happened outside of David Bupp's shop after he supposedly matched the radio to an amplifier for a customer

But let's talk about the ECM, do you guys know how they are tested?
Of course not.
How many of you know what a anechoic chamber is used for?
Not trying to be a smart as but it is unlikely that rf caused any meltdown but rather the poor power design within the amp, cuasing a surge. I had an issue with this crap a long time ago, it turned out that the amp was not isolated enough from chassis system, it was a nice 'tower of power' amp made by some clown who was part of Texas star. All junk. -
Mysteriously the fortunate customers who took my advice and took that same useless equipment to Mark ended up having very good luck with that same equipment and sounded excellent on the airwaves without causing interference on adjacent bands.
(Rendering useless your theory) I would venture to say the technicians inability to take crappy equipment And reengineer some things and have a tuned bench capable of consistently producing perfect work at the 11 meter band to make it function in a desirable manner is what contributed to the truck fire.
This is just one example of hundreds I've observed.
It's always the technicians fault.
If the technician tells you to install it in your truck and he fails to give you specific instructions on how to make your electrical connections and what gauge wire to use then it is still the technicians fault.
If the technician tells you to throw the amplifier in the trash and you still disregard the technicians advice then it becomes the driver's fault. -
