I thank you all for your answers. With the information that I've gathered, I think I have a shot. It was just that and a dismissed/dropped charges felony back in 2008 that were my only two potential roadblocks. I don't have to worry about DUIs or drugs or anything like that. Just want to show any company that I can work for them for the long term.

you will be right. the felony is going to show up. even though it was dismissed. the arrest record will show up on canada's system. canada computer system is the same as europe. they can see stuff about you the american feds can't. pretty much you can't go to canada. if you do. depending on what the felony was. canada will lock you up over it. there's a section in the application you where you explain this. so it is a problem even though you were not convicted. many major fleets require drivers to go to canada.

This post is the reason why one should never go to internet forums for legal advice.bottomdumpin Thanks this.

I don't have any tax forms so I guess I am unemployable. I would be better off as a fresh CDL holder just entering the industry VS somebody that drove in the past but his companies are out of business. Ridiculous but that's what it is. Guess I'll just wait eight more years until my ten driving history falls off and I'll start from scratch like a fresh CDL school graduate.Last edited: Jul 15, 2016
