Preston Bush and Henry Ford both were Nazi sympathizers and sold oil and trucks to the krauts until FDR put a stop to that ####.

I like the Gew 71 and 71/84 The Germans and Austrians both made fine rifles before the turn of the century along with the French's Lebel .

Back to the question; Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown in his first term (s..?) as I remember. All the EPA horse dung along with tree huggers. I remember it well, working at and ownig a "real" speed shop. It killed the street performance scene in many Calif towns. Started trickling UP from 1-ton trucks to big trucks. Gasoline-powered to diesels. By then a run-away freight train. Large counties down to the smaller ones. Take San Luis Obispo where I'm from. You may as well live in Berkeley now.
    Repressive. Commies. Obama lovers.

I remember when "Moonbeam Brown" shut down the Highway 113 project that made it simple to go from I-5 to I-80 next to Davis, CA. The old highway 113 was "blood alley" with huge old Black Walnut trees on both sides.

Many was the 80K truck or car that hit one of those trees. All it would do is knock some bark off the tree as the roots go down far. Lots of people died on that old road, before they completed the new highway 113 about 12 years later after CA had a new governor. Must have cost tons more $$$ too!

Now, as the governor again, Brown signed into law a bunch of CA firearms and ammo laws. CA
is making it so that you have to pay to buy ammo with a background check and have an "ammo" card to buy it too, which you must pay for. Stay the hell out & away from Communist Kalifornia!

Yep, another bad place was Hwy 101 between Gilroy and San Jose. Straight, long. Give people a straight road..let the games begin!
