The Pompano Beach service plaza on the turnpike. Depending where you are delivering, you're no more then 15 miles to Miami. Go down 95 to Sample Rd exit, go west a few miles to the turnpike entrance on your left, go south a few miles to the service plaza. Plenty of parking and s nice plaza.

Don't worry, after 38 years of this I too have my moments where I couldn't hit the side of a barn with a handful of rice.tlopez99, MidWest_MacDaddy and 4mer trucker Thank this.

Keep working on it... It does gets easier. More and more practice... Every opportunity you get.
Best advice I got, actually from my Fleet Manager, was to "make a lot of little mistakes"
That helped me break it down to smaller pieces and recovering from a few small mistakes is easier than one big one...
Keep at it!!! You'll get there!!!4mer trucker and JohnBoy Thank this. -
Heard on the CB the other day: could not hit a bull in the but with a bass fiddle.
LOL
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
Yes, I drove for 9 months back in 06 and 07. I resigned because my wife was working herself to death with our 3 kids. Now, our kids are in college and working. So, they are mostly self sufficient. My backing is still suffering a bit, but coming around. I don't back enough to get the practice I need.Danch Thanks this.

I don't expect you to understand. You don't know me. But think of it this way: If we are all alike, why are there 3 major types of pain relievers? If we are all the same, why won't one work for everyone? Because different people have different abilities and disabilities. And, if you want to ridicule me, at least quote me right. I never said napping is a physical limitation. I said, perhaps my inability to take naps is a physical limitation.
Now who is being the negative nilly?

There is a lot that should be covered in the yard before any trainee gets on a trainer's truck. Backing is the biggest one. An extra day spent backing and going over the QC in depth would be very valuable.
Once on the road things can get very busy and stressful and a particular trainer may not have the patience required to actually "teach" under those conditions nor could a trainee be able to retain all that is being taught.MidWest_MacDaddy, KD5AXG and tlopez99 Thank this.
