Will prime hire me?
If i failed to get my CDL from a private school due to my work. I needed to feed my family. And the school dropped me for not being able to make it to test day. Will prime still take me for their program? Also it's not like i didn't want to take the test. The #### school changed my test day twice on me and i couldn't risk getting fired from work due to their inability to give me more than two days notice.
Will prime hire me?

Do their online application and find out. You didn't quit a job, you quit school. They don't hire those that were fired from a job though.
You will need original social security card (not laminated) and original birth certificate.
Put your location on your profile.Thedonkeyshow Thanks this. -
Yeah you should be good

Hi China, So Prime won't hire you if you have been fired from your previous employer? Can you provide some more information about that? I guess I have to scratch them off of my short list then. I have only had 2 jobs in my entire life. That stinks. My reason was not safety or anything else like that as after 14 years in a coach driver position, I still have a Class B with a clean MVR. It was just a strong difference in the route of my choice versus what they felt that they needed me to run. Since then, there has been a lengthy unemployment gap (+/- 9 mos) as well while looking for other work, but now I am in private school training for the Class A. Unfortunately, they felt the need to terminate my employment for it, hence the pursuit of the Class A. With that said, it's rather unfortunate that I could not get with Prime because of that as well as I have read that they are not to keen on . Sometimes things happen and not everyone gets terminated for "bad reasons". While it was an "ugly divorce" between myself and the former, I learned a lot during that time and hopefully I can apply some knowledge of big vehicles to semi tractor trailers in this new career pursuit.
BTW, if it makes a difference, I'm from SE Mass..

Social security card can be laminated... No law against it
-
Most trucking companies won't accept a laminated social security card. One driver posted that it's on his social security card "Do Not Laminate". It's not on mine, but mine is very old.
-
It use to be on all SS cards. They no longer have it on there and it is legal to laminate your SS card. They can not refuse a legal piece of issues ID
-
They can if it's been tampered with. Not to mention that a SSN card is not ID.
-
No, laminating your social card is not a reason to not accept it. That does not make it tampered with.
Now, will a company not accept it if it is laminated. Sure they are idiots that believe it can't be laminated like idiots in this thread.
The US citizenship and immigration services sure says your social security card is a valid document to identify yourself...
