Why is anyone thinking home every weekend and it's a good a good thing?

    I'm home every night, work 8-12 hour days and make more now than I did living in the truck.

    ok I'll chime in!!! I'm home every night But my day starts at 2 am (cuz I have hay burners) leave for work 3 am in my truck 4 am back at the yard between 4 pm & 6 pm just switched a 5/2 5/3 shift to a 4/1 4x's with 7 off...theres a variety of jobs out there just research & search outside the box

    Same here except the 20+ years just stay semi-regional am I getting rich...nope.But never heard of a truck driver getting rich from this industry.Getting bills paid(most of the time) can keep that weeks at a time out.

    yes to me too thats why I wanna switch adventures & go OTR woohoo probably one headache exchanged for another but I'm cool with that as well :*D Oilfield is good when its good but it come with burn out when the $'s aren"t there as an incentive

    I usually arrive at work an hour before I punch in, to finish my coffee and post on here a bit. After I hit the clock I'm usually punching out 10.5-11 hours later.

    I thought I worked long hours before I read his schedule.

    Ohhh, yeah it'd be great if oil got back up to 125 a barrel, I hate seeing all the drill rigs and stuff parked and waiting,

    yes sir but sadly we are all predicting that eve if barrels $'s go up most companies including will hold old as long as possible to give us our wages back & I'm sorry the risk just doesnt equal the pay right now & side I'm tired of smelling H2S...luckily the guys at work trust I'm not hitting on them but it sure is nice when they where stink purdy & the offices gals know I'm NOT a lezbian so they dont get weirded out when I stand close just to smell something better then od'decrude hahaha
